Australian Wine Dinner 9th August
Gordon Gebbie will be joining us all the way from Australia to host our wine dinner at The Fox & Hounds.
Gordon is the Commercial Director of the Rathbone Wine Group. the family have owned and operated wine group for over 25 years. The group and its wineries were founded on the pillars of pride, passion and commitment, along with the family’s multi-generational experience in wine and agriculture. Gordon will be showcasing wines from the Yarra Valley, Grampians and Margaret River.
All paired with a five course tasting menu, carefully curated by chef owner Brett Barnes.

Heritage tomato salad, goat’s curd, white peach, peach sorbet
Wine pairing: Yering Station Village Chardonnay
2nd Course:
Chilled melon soup, Iberico ham, apple vinegar & marigold
Wine pairing: Little Yering Chardonnay
3rd Course:
Tea smoked duck breast, pickled cherry, kohlrabi, buckwheat
Wine pairing: Yering Station Village Pinot Noir
4th Course:
Beef cheek braised in soy & plum, summer squash, crispy shallot
Wine pairing: Xanadu Cabernet Sauvignon
5th Course:
Dark chocolate, blackberry & cardamom ice cream sandwich
Wine pairing: Mount Langi Ghiran Cliff Edge Shiraz
The evening includes a
welcome drink, 5-course tasting menu & paired wines.
